Kiana Li Mewrilah

Despite her last name being Mewrilah, she's unsure if the name is connected to any tribe in Eorzea or not.

Her father was always a nomad, but he was willing to settle down with her mother somewhere. She, instead, chose to join him in his nomadic lifestyle.

Kiana is demisexual and demiromantic, not that she really knows it. She just knows that she isn't as interested in romance or sex as she's seen others be. Except with very particular people, which confuses her even more.

She's almost never seen without Bubble, even when her current class is not Summoner. He's almost always around and has even been known to alert comrades of something being wrong with her in times of need.

She's left handed. Though she often has to use her right hand for things, you can see her writing spells with her left hand.

Kiana has no idea where she was born! Since her parents still traveled when her mom was pregnant, she's got no clue where she was actually born.

She's visited Thavnair before, but didn't quite remember it since she was little.

Her chocobo's name is Snowdrop! :3

Kiana overheats easily, so she often is seen wearing little clothing or light weight clothing.

She's an excellent baker and can often be found with berries and fruits on hand, sometimes baked into bread for longer storing.

Due to being nomadic and staying in the wilds most of the time, it's actually difficult to sneak up on her. She's used to sensing for danger. Cities, however, are a bit different as sounds aren't quite as clear cut.

She's become quite skilled in gathering and culinarian. She started experimenting with cooking when she was little after finding vegetables near their campsite at the time.

When close to someone/romantically interested or involved, she likes being able to touch them-- usually hand holding but sometimes her tail will wrap around their arms/leg/tail.

Kiana sometimes gets nightmares she doesn't understand. In reality, she's seeing the last moments of her other selves in the different reflections.

Until she went to Eorzea, Kiana always tried to avoid wearing shoes. She preferred feeling the ground beneath her feet. She's since adapted to wearing them and learned how to run even in heels.

Similar to a cat, she likes being up high. She's been known to find her way up to impossible to reach places-- and not in the sense of "super high" moreso "HOW did you get up THERE?"

She does /not/ like alcohol. She doesn't like the way it smells or tastes. She doesn't mind if other are drinking it, but her nose will scrunch up at the mere smell of it. She tries to hide that reaction if her friends are casually drinking, but if anyone offers- nose scrunch

Her father had commissioned three silver necklaces with Menphina's symbol on them when he found out his wife was pregnant. Kiana has practically worn this since the day she was born and it's very important to her. She briefly stopped wearing it after Zenos almost broke it.

Kiana has a tendency to help people whether she has a strong opinion of something or not. She absolutely will lean towards helping out causes those around her want to partake in, and she will deny someone if it's in bad faith.

Kiana has met G'raha before her travels in Eorzea, only once however. It was a brief period when her family stayed with his tribe in Corvos when they were both quite young. Almost always calls him Raha.

Kiana is unsure if she ever visited Othard prior to her journey there, but she's fairly certain she and her family as a group have never gone to Eorzea, Ala Mhigo, or Sharlayan. She left from Tural to Eorzea to begin her arcane studies.

Kiana as she is now is the most like Azem. They share a name, similar looks, similar voices-- and yet Emet-Selch refuses to accept her connection. 😭 (She even also refers to him simply as Emet most of the time. Azem!Kiana looks like miqo!Kiana when she was younger.)

Her "tattoos" glow and are actually a remnant of the light aspected aether from her travels on the first. It was Emet-Selch who used the last bit of his energy so that it resembled the stars overhead. The mark he gave her, however, does not disappear in the bright light.

She doesn't remember where she got her iconic bow, but she's had it for quite a long time now. Whether by accident or fate, the one she wears is nearly identical to the one Azem had.

Kiana is a bit of a snob when it comes to restaurants. If they're charging for food; it BETTER be good. Minimum of decent if it's inexpensive. This is partially due to her cooking her own food since she was young; especially with the variety of herbs and spices she found.

When it comes to buying food from others, she will try it as it comes once before deciding if she needs to change something. She's not very picky, but has moments where things just don't vibe.

Struggles to stay awake during the day, does so out of pure adrenaline during world ending events. Best times for her are between dusk and dawn, but the world unfortunately needs her awake when the sun is up 😮💨

If she desired to, Kiana could get an archon mark on the knowledge she has gathered about both Amaurot and Elpis. She personally fears that it is not enough for such a thing, but as G'raha is knowledgeable about Allag, Kiana is about the Unsundered World. She would adore to learn more about it if possible.

Has an Amaro hatchling she has named "Marie". Marie has a sibling named Flint. (Ae'to's Amaro hatchling.)

Kiana is likely to bottle up her feelings rather than express them when she's stressed. The twins and Urianger are some of the people she eventually turns to when she needs to let it out. (O'rihnn and Ae'to two others she will turn to when in need.)

For someone who tries to keep people out, she gets her best sleep when she's snuggled up with someone. This also keeps her nightmares at bay.

Kiana is very moon coded, but still has some sun coded traits. She is like the full moon on a summers night, blanketed by the twinkling stars and bringing with her a coolness to contrast the warm day. She shines brilliantly for others and helps them find their way. But, like the sun on a freezing winter's day, she can bring warmth to people who need it. Overall, though, she is the full moon in the dead of winter over freshly fallen snow. The clear skies overhead and the snowy ground both twinkling and dancing with light under the moon.

Does your wol / oc like people playing with their hair? Why or why not? This is a "backstory unlocked" minimum requirement for Kiana. She barely likes when people taller than her pat her head, she would not tolerate them suddenly trying to play with her hair. Only exceptions being: Haurchefant, Emet-Selch, and Hythlodaeus. Otherwise, she needs to know them a bit. Don't touch her ears or tail without permission. She can and will bite and claw.

Does your wol / oc like being taken care of by others? Do they feel weak for having other people take care of them? (Sick, injuries, etc) Initially: she HATES it. She feels like she should be able to take care of herself no matter what. But... As time goes on? She will begrudgingly accept. Once she does, you've unlocked whiny needy Kiana. You said you'd take care of her, so you better keep that promise. (Still feels bad tho)

While she has never directly thought about it, when with the right person Kiana would absolutely admit to them if they were willing; she would start family with them. If it's suggested to her first by them; she will make a comment about not being a good parent... which is not true at all. Kiana has already shown to be amazing with Ryne and even Lyna (whom she for some reason tries to mother. No, it doesn't matter she's older.) She works well with the twins and easily works out problems between them should they happen in front of her.

Kiana at some point becomes afraid to get romantically interested in anyone after she had to fight Hades. She knows it's not logical, but she begins to feel that she's the common thread in this... She's the reason the people she loves keep dying.

If your wol / oc could give their younger self advice, what would the advice be and why? "No matter how dark the night may seem, the light on the horizon will soon be here. Do not be afraid to allow others to help you, as you've helped them. Life will give you challenges that seem beyond tackling, but you will persevere and be even stronger for it; closer to your allies and friends."

Kiana loves to swim! It was also a bit of a necessity to teach her to swim at a young age.For the most part, she has no issues. She HAS gotten swept away in a river that had been under heavy rain not too long before. She was okay after her dad rescued her.

Kiana loves giving gentle kisses, just soft ones with lips. Despite this, the pure raw emotion behind it can leave her + her partner breathless. She doesn't kiss on the lips unless in a relationship, but she will kiss everywhere else on the face for those she cares about. Blushes at public kisses.

How does your WoL/OC handle being flirted with? For Kiana, it completely unphases her for a long time. She can recognize it, usually, but she's not interested.

It takes her a while to feel confident enough to deny someone, usually putting others first for quite a while.She becomes an absolutely blushing mess if she IS interested in someone and they flirt with her.

Since her family was nomadic, she actually is the go-to for advice on open road traveling! She can use locally sourced ingredients for cooking and can find a place to sleep anywhere she goes. Though she enjoys cuddling in a bed, she can still be found taking a nap in a tree. 😅

A little nsfw question. Does your WoL/Oc use contraceptives? If this is the case, what is it? And if you're inclined to tell us, what are the reasons for this? She... Doesn't really know about sex in her Canon storyline-- She doesn't feel attraction much, so honestly it's up to whoever awakens that desire 😅 Likely to fall victim to: got pregnant first time I had sex trope.

How would your wol(oc) react to someone talking to them with romantic intentions? While Kiana understands romance and why someone would want it, she has never felt it before. During ARR she likely would just say "thank you, but no. I don't know you." She was very reluctant to make connections at that point. After; "While I appreciate it... I would need to know you better to know how I feel about everything. It wouldn't be fair to either of us to try to start something when we don't know each other well." If she knows them and feels the same? She's a blushing mess.

Since Kiana is such a good chef, she feels she has to be the one to cook. When she isn't cooking for herself, she's snacking or munching. She won't admit it, but if someone cooks for her: she'll absolutely melt. Might critique to help them know where they could improve, but means well when she does. Make her breakfast or a really late night dinner and she'll melt even worse, probably too sleepy to comment on anything.

How would they react to being called their full government name by someone close enough to drop the clan marker (e.g. calling “Shtola” “Y’shtola Rhul” or “Raha” “G’raha Tia”)? Her name is long enough that if someone is using it, she knows something is wrong. Not even her parents use her full name. Most people shorten her name to Kiki; (even Ki). She likely will hiss in reaction, but knows something is off in some way.

Kiana's Name Day is the first sun of the sixth umbral moon (December 1st).

If they have the echo, how does your WoL/OC find out they have it? It didn't start being so clear cut until adulthood, but she's had odd dreams for as long as she can remember. It isn't until much later that she realizes these dreams are Azem's memories, scenes from the calamities, as well as the last moments of the souls who have rejoined with her.

What's your WoL/OC's deepest, darkes fear? Tied between: Her parents dying and her never finding out what happened to them. & After finally opening up and letting herself be vulnerable with others; being abandoned and left alone. Being shunned and forced to be on her own again.
